I'm trying to remember the name of a short story my sister had to read in high school back in the 1970s. The idea is that war has been relegated to a televised event. Units of 100 (I think) soldiers fought in a dome, or on a battle reservation, or both (I think). One image that stuck with me was the description of a soldier who was hit by morter fire, trying to put his intestines back in his body...

I was young when I read this story and can't remember much, but it made an impression on me and I wish to re-read it. All help, direction and suggestions will be appreciated!
