Well... I don't know where else to go with this... but when I enter your forum, your tracker dealy insists I havn't visited the forum since March 1st...
So... nothing gets updated, it shows all posts since March 1st to be brand new, and their building up.
I've made plenty of posts since then, but it just ignores me... like snotty people on the streets... now I've learned to deal with it in the real world... but I don't have to take it from a stuck up web site!
I demand recognition!
((hopefully you know I joke in tone... but it would be nice to fix this problem, all my little lightbulbs are always on, wasting electricity... I think theres a new post... but then I check and see there isn't, and I swear I hear it say "Sucker!"))

Make sure you have selected in Preferences for a cookie to be stored, so that the site knows when you've been last. Also, try reloading the pages by clicking CTRL and Refresh together - hopefully these two solutions may result in the recognition that you most certainly deserve, Nathan!

I should have also pointed out that the cookie you have may have been corrupted as well, so you may like to purge it before selcting another, all of which can be done on the Preferences page, which you will find amongst the links on the top right of the main Forum page. Hope this helps.

I did as you suggested, but to no avail... I'm still treated like the redheaded stepchild of sffworld.

Does your browser have Cookies enabled? If not, then you may have the problem you encountered. You could also try deleting your cache contents, just in case. Other than that, I have no other suggestions. It's certainly not the Forum software as its working fine for me, and presumably the other members too.

I even went as far as to look in my temporary internet files, and lo and behold... there was the cookie!
So, I tried deleting it manualy, then starting over... but no dice...
I feel so snubbed

Well, I'm stumped - if you went back to Preferences and reset your cookie after deleting the old one, it should work...sorry. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif
You are going back to the forum using the main URL I presume? Sometimes clicking on the Explorer style links on topic pages will result in no "You last visited etc..." appearing at all. This is the main link: http://www.sffworld.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi

nope... still stuck on march 1st... but, all is well...
I appreciate your effort to help me anyway, I'm using Explorer, I was going to download and give Netscape a try anyway... I'll let you know if that does the trick.

Don't do it!!! Do what you will, just keep a twenty mile distance from netscape (which I'm coincidentally using right now...)!
Are you talking about the cookie that makes you not have to type your login name an password? Or is it something that just randomly says, "you were last here..."? That second thing seems kinda pointless...so...

At a guess, your bookmark link ia bringing you straight to the forums... if you set it to go to the SFF home page, and you enter the forums from there it will work as it should.
This is a problem I once had after a new install.
