I just bought this movie at Target today because I was looking for something unique and different. I get a little leary of R-rated movies that I have no idea what they are about (not into overly senseless violence) but I gave it a try anyway. I was pleased with the results. Of course, the fact that it came in a steel case for only $9.99 helped too.
The movie is a strange mix of live action and computer animation that looks like The Fifth Element, Blade Runner, and some good Anime. The story is confusing and only becomes more clear toward the end but leaves you wanting more information about the underlying world. We are talking about ancient Egytian gods, aliens, mutants, genetically minipulated humans, alternate realities, corporate espionage, detective story, and more. At the heart; however, is a love story and redemption. Give it a try.
