Gentle's new book: Orthe

I noticed Mary Gentle's new book in the bookstore. The preface was quite interesting.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0575072873/qid=1021205345/s r=1-3/ref=sr_1_2_3/026-6840177-2447609 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0575072873/qid=1021205345/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_2_3/026-6840177-2447609)

Has someone read it, or intends to?

EDIT:

On second thought, this book may be an all-in-one volume of books she's published before, I saw that Amazon.com had a book called "Golden Witchbreed" from over ten years ago, also by Gentle. But it's new to the UK market , apparently.

Mith - Be careful with this one! It's old material with a new Ash-like cover, the combination of the novels Golden Witchbreed and Ancient Light with a short story. All are old material.

More SF than Fantasy, rather like CJ Cherryh (deals with ancient alien cultures, rather like Cherryh's Foreigner series) or a little like Anne McCaffrey, but quite dark and gloomy - there is no real happy ending I gather in Ancient Light. I read Golden Witchbreed when it came out in 1983/84, thought it was good but a little slow and nothing particularly special. I have a copy of Ancient Light but haven't read it because I am planning to reread Golden Witchbreed first and may well reassess as a result.
