I was looking to compile a list of SF/Fantasy/Horror/Other magazines (online or otherwise) that are accepting unsolicted submissions. This started as a purely selfish venture, I assure you (I think I'm finally brave enough to attempt to get something published), but I thought perhaps a list would be helpful to everyone here.

After one short night of searching, I have compiled a small list (updated per replies to this thread, thanks guys!). Keep in mind that I have NO experience in dealing with any of the publishers I'm about to list, so I encourage you to check them out fully before submitting.

Websites with complied lists:

I'm saving this list. I too am just at the point of considering submitting.

Here's another one but it's for flash fiction only:

Maybe I am just lazy, but I check out http://www.ralan.com/ when I have a short story to sell, as each story is different and demands a different market.

OMG - Ralan.com is scary. Didn't know there was so much out there...duh.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to go through the site carefully on some insomniac-plagued night. ;)

Wasn't there also the Queen Lizard site -- oh rats, I've forgotten what it was called exactly, but something like that. Wait, maybe Iguana. Anyway, Ralan.com is usually pretty good. There's also the SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America) -- they list mags.

Spicygreeniguana.com?

Type that into your browser and they'll ask you for a username and password to even get onto the site. Weird.
