Carrion Comfort - Dan Simmons

Good list. Haven't heard of the Pike, Gideon or Topor books. The others you chose are favorites of mine too, so it that means we have similar taste, I'll look for those three.

I'd like to add something by George R. R. Martin -- Sandkings is a short story or novella, so I'll go with Fevre Dream.

And there's no Joe Lansdale on your list -- how about The Drive-In?

And The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.

Dracula - Bram Stoker
Haunting of Hill House - Shirley Jackson
Sandkings - GRR Martin
The Mummy - Anne Rice, good satire

I've read lots of other horror, but none that I'd put on a 10 best list.
