I know there is a thread in the Fantasy forum discussing cover art, but not for sci-fi, so here we go!

This is the cover for Mike Cobley's next book, The Orphaned Worlds, which is a sequel to Seeds of Earth and due out in the UK next April. Personally I like this one more :)

Personally I love A. Reynolds' Terminal World cover

Am I the only one who finds the covers with spaceships (even if they are on fire) boring and bland?

I love the Reynolds cover, too. Hopefully Ace will follow suit as it has for many of his US books and just keep the same cover.

The Reynolds cover is nice. It reminds me of an animted film of which I forget the name.

The Cobley novel actually looks more like a Reynolds cover than anything else. Very nice, except the big Banks blurb over top.

Where's the cover?

For some reason I can't insert an image that is hosted on blogger (I've edited the post to link to it instead) - I'll make a note of that for the future...

Personally I love A. Reynolds' Terminal World cover

I do like this cover for Terminal World and I'm hopeful I'll enjoy this more than House of Suns. I really want to enjoy Reynolds' books, but for some reason they fall short, although Pushing Ice was very good indeed. I love his short stories though, easily one of the best in the genre.

The cover for Tony Ballantyne's next novel, Bloo and Iron, a sequel to the highly enjoyable Twisted Metal:

Here's the cover for Colin Harvey's next boo, Damage Time. I'd be interested to hear what others think of this one...

That font hurts my brain and eyes. Oofah, is that outdated and unreadable. The image itself isn't too bad, but very dated.
