I apologize for a post like this that's been done to death. I remember creating the topic over a year ago but it is no longer available. Therefore, I want to try again. In short, I would prefer to read completed fantasy series as I am currently envolved in about 6 unfinished series (waiting on releases). Maybe we could include author and name of series and order if needed....for example, I would recommend Farseer Trilogy be read before Liveship Traders as the two are in the same world and Liveship takes place after Farseer:

Hobbs: Farseer Trilogy
The Liveship Traders

JV Jones: The Book of Words

Thanks for your help, PJ

Fencer Trilogy - K J Parker
Seer/Demon/Warrior Trilogy - Chris Bunch
Nightrunner Trilogy - Lynn Flewwelling
Book of Worlds Trilogy - J V Jones
Dragon Prince and Dragon Star Trilogies - Melanie Rawn

That will do me.

I find the Book of Swords and the Book of Lost Swords series by Fred Saberhagen to be a thoroughly enjoyable enjoyable read. I know that the Dragoncrown War Cycle by Mike Stackpole is not complete but the first 2 books A Dark Glory War and Fortress Draconis are great books for someone who enjoys military fantasy. I hope you like my suggestions.

Douglass, Sara - Wayfarer - Complete
- Battleaxe - NC

Battleaxe is complete. It's the first 3 books. Wayfarer is actually the last three.

Forsyth, Kate - The Witches of Eileanan - ?

There's one more book left in this series, unpublished, no date set yet. Which annoys me, frankly, because I thought the series was complete when I started reading it.

Ah come on Allanon, throw me a bone here http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

How about filling in some of the question marks for me. As Firecat said about Forsyth's series, I started Farland's Runelord and Haydon's Rhapsody series (although not on my list) thinking they were finished only to find out different! That really chapped my hide.

Qin-

I hope you are talking about Estranghero, I haven't read a quarter of the series on the list. I am just trying to have the list to refer to when I need a new series. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Firecat- So we should read the Battleaxe series first (weren't they published in the US with Wayfarer first?
