How much older? Better for what?

We only ask because we want to know . . . .

Well, there's the main Science Fiction (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=7) forum here. What exactly is it you are trying to find?

Maybe plop the author or book you are trying to find in our Search (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/search.php) module and see what turns up for you.

Here's one list of list sites (http://greatsfandf.com/miscellaneous-topics.php#RESOURCES); here, with some overlap, is another such site list (http://greatsfandf.com/possibles.php#OTHER). (And, of course, the site showing those site lists--mine--is itself a resource.) Mind, the listed sites on both lists include both fantasy and science fiction, with perhaps an emphasis on fantasy, but they're a start. Another resource is James Wallace Harris's "Classics of Science Fiction" (http://classics.jameswallaceharris.com/), which includes a "by year" listing.

What a coincidence, owl - two of those links are to your site.

Agreed, more information is needed.

What are you after? A list of the major SF works of the 1970s and 1980s? Who the best authors were, what the major movemenets were etc?

Um, I did say so. Plainly. And the links are to lists of other sites.

Would you like me to edit the post to remove the links and instead plug in the long, commented lists themselves? If you think it important, I will do so.

I was just teasing, owl.

Check.

(Do you know that the board software wouldn't let me post that bare reply? "Too short." Curiouser and curiouser . . . .)
