Now that we have the option available to use them here, I thought I'd offer the use of some of own original avatar creations. Some are static, some are animated, such as my own. All are sized at 65X65, which the forum software will now accept. Some of the animated ones may be a tad over 20kbs, which mean they can't be used here atm, but most are okay I think. (you'll also find links to my good friend, Brother Cadfael's avatar collection)

If you're interested at all you can find them HERE (http://www.wn.com.au/clubclad/erebus/avatars.htm).

Those are some darn fine avatars, Erebus!

I spent a couple of hours searching the web last night for a suitable one for myself (having never encountered this sort of thing before). It was fun, but I was amazed at the number of actual people pics used. I just can't fathom why people would use someone else's pic! ;)

They are nice, but a friend made mine from a painting I did.... So its more sort of personal

I would post the original but it is too large and it would stretch the thread. This link is better. hat man picture (http://home.arachsys.com/~chris/sue/hat%20man.jpg)

yes, thank you Erebus!

I wanted the Elijah Wood avatar from the link to be told that as it was 66x66 it was too big!

So I've gone for Gandalf instead - much more my sedentary lifestyle! :D

Hobbit...

Sorry about that... Cadfael's Avatars is my site actually... Both Erebus and myself do Avatars... and link to each others pages.

I will change the 'Frodo' to 65x65... and email when it is ready for you.

Thank you Dennizm!

I didn't realise that they were yours (though I should have - the Cadfael reference should have rung bells!).

I'm actually getting quite used to the Gandalf....can you have more than one?

:D

I have fixed it now Hobbit! :D

Yes... I think you can have more than one. You can store them in your own database from your User Control Panel. Obviously, you can only use one at a time in the forums... but you can have others stored ready to use.
