In a published fantasy novel.
Mine is that battle in The Third Book of Swords where neither Yambu's or the Dark King's armies physicaly attack each other. Now, that is a pretty pathetic battle.
Favorite battle was so popular so why not?:p

What does least facourite mean? Does it eman some battle tahat you don't hate, yet is so far from the best that you think to yourself, 'yes, that was my least favourite battle, though not by far the worst.'
Call me stupid but I can't see the point.

Let's not start name calling after typographic errors please. It will only degenerate and ruin the thread.

Eventine accept my most sincere humble apology as it was not my intent to offend but merely oblige the request of sir kegasaurus' to be called such. Sir kegasaurus did say call me stupid. And being the considerate chap that I am, I merely obeyed the aforementioned request, while inquiring what a facourtie was.
I once again extend my apology to any offended parties for obliging sir kegasaurus request to be referred to as stupid. My mistake.
And finally I'm enriched and gladden with the learning of sir kegasaurus' indepth and comprehensive knowledge of zesty protruberances.

Okay, my least favorite battle was the finale in the Deryni trilogy.

Katharine Kurtz's first book of the Deryni had a good showdown between protagonists near the end of the first book, a magical (and very poetic) showdown between wizards.
With that expectation in mind, I expected the last battle in the 3rd book to be just as good since not only they had 2 armies ready to fight but also 2 groups of wizards ready to duke it out.
Surprise, surprise! There was no battle. 1 of the bad-guy wizards had a grudge against another of their group and proceeded to poison themselves (including himself) to gain revenge. COMPLETELY FROM OUT OF THE LEFT FIELD.
'Nuff said.
