All right folks, I'm looking for a book, but I can't remember it's title or the person who wrote it.

But, it's about the earth, where one half is trapped in darkness, and the other have is trapped in light, and I believe that there is a war of some sort where the dark side took to technology and the light side took to nature. This is all very hazy, but I'm positive it exists and am interested in diging it up. If anyone knows what I'm walking about, any info will be appreciated.

Boy, this reminds me of Jack of Shadows, by Roger Zelazny. Based in a world which has ceased to rotate and now is half light and half dark with respective cultures...

It's been over ten years since I read it so I'm realy realy fuzzy...

Check Amazon for some reviews and see if it rings a bell!

In Jack of Shadows the dark side reverted to nature (magic) and the light side retained technology.

I thought I was the resident Zelazny freak.

In The Amtrak Wars, something similar does happen, but the humans who migrate underground develop technology, while the ones who live above-ground harness nature.
