I just wondered if a submission is not suitable do you kind moderators shoot the writer a mail to say so?

I just wondered as I submitted a piece about two weeks ago. I know you have been putting up the new forum so you haven't had much time. But I just wondered as the piece was quite long and maybe the language a little bit too much...

Yes, in the rare occasion that a story isn’t accepted we usually send the author an email. We’re catching up as fast as we are able to at the moment and have 15 stories ready to be uploaded in the next update. As far as I could see your story is being processed by one of our other volunteers at the moment, so if it doesn’t make the first update it should definitely make the next.
