Can anybody recomend some light and comic fantasy. It does not have to be out and out humour like discworld or jason cosmo, just something with abit of fun.

And please no spoofs like Barry Trotter and the Unauthorized Parody and Tired of the rings

Thanks

There's Piers Anthony's Xanth series. Anthony comes out with a new Xanth book every couple of years and he's been doing it since '77. I enjoyed this series back in the 80's and early 90's. I remember the stories were type that you could breeze through in a few days, and I'm not a fast reader. I'll confess that I haven't read any of Anthony's newer Xanth books.

Try Roger Zelazny's,

1) Bring me the Head of Prince Charming
2) If at Faust you don't succeed

The two books are part of a series and there is a third book whose name I can't remember right now.

The third book is A Farce to Be Reckoned with

In the following post add "Connecticut" in front of "Yankee" and replace "at" with "in". Was made into a good movie with Bing Crosby as well.

The Wiz Biz books... impossible to find, but so much fun to read! The novels are by Rick Cook, and I'm pretty sure they are out of print. Also, Robert Lynn Asprin's Myth series is great, but the lastest book came out in 1991, and left the serious at a clifhanger ending (albeit a halrious cliffhanger ending). Both series of novels are fairly short.
I also recommend R.A. Salvatore's Spearwielder's tales, although i have only had a chance to read the first two (of three).
