Hello Everyone,
I just joined the forum and look forward to participating. I am a published author and Internet marketer. I am fortunate that my fiction thriller, won a Gold metal (IPPY 2009) for best fiction. I also coauthored a self help book on improving father-daughter relationships with my teenage daughter .

I have experience in using the Internet for book marketing and I hope I can contribute if there is an interest in that topic.

Thank you,
V. Michael Santoro

Hi Michael

First welcome to the forums.

Second, I'm sure you noticed I removed the links to your books as well as your signature link.

We frown on such links, especially from new members since advertising is not permitted in the forums as noted in our Forum Guidelines (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/announcement.php?f=8&a=35), posted at the top of every forum and indicated when you sign up:

2. Promotion / Advertising: goods for sale etc

Posting advertisements at SFFWorld is not something we allow in the Forums. Members who sign up to SFFWorld to do nothing else than advertise their own products/sites/blogs etc will have their threads removed and membership removed. This may be without warning. Multiple threads of such a type will automatically lead to the membership being revoked and posts removed.

Similarly, using your own website address as your member name will not in future be allowed.

Using Private Messages to contact members for the purpose of promotion and/or advertising will lead to membership being removed. This may be without warning.

I would also like to direct you to this thread: Self-Promotion - Marketing New Novels (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14590). The thread has been fairly active over the past year or so and provides some good insight from members and staff. While that thread IS NOT a place for you to promote your book, it is a good place to get some ideas from fellow authors. It is also a good place to see how readers (specifically the members of our forums) react to such advertisements.

Hello V. Michael -- Welcome to SFFW. It's a great community, so please don't let the non-com rules dissuade you from joining in. Your insights into how to use the internet would be most welcome.
