Do you have lots of nightmares?

Yesterday I was reading an article in a local paper that said when a person reads a horror novel they usually have really pleasant dreams, but when they read sci-fi or fantasy they usual have pretty bad nightmares. I thought that sounded kind of weird. I used to love reading horror novels and they always gave me awful nightmares. I still have lots of nightmares, but I don't attribute it to my fantasy reading.

So do you guys have nightmares related to your fantasy reading?

er no. Weirdo!:p

My most common dream, that is from the ones I can remember and not of the wet variety:eek: is usually about me being able to fly:) . I can't remember every having a dream based on something from a book....oh wait there was one about Nynaeve and her braid.....

Whoops! I don't often go to the General Discussion area, so I didn't know this had already been posted. My bad. Thanks for the link to the article in English though. I was reading the version in the Swedish newspaper and my Swedish is not so good, so this was much better.

Ballx. That's what it is, aload of Ballx. I used to have nightmares, but They were never realted to books. Films... MMMM. Yees. The horror variety made me look nder my bed, and check for any freddy kruegers. Never found any though, and I haven't had a nightmare Since I started reading fantasy books. Not one! They have always been pleasant(usually about flying, or something really complicated).
So I say NAY! Screauw the scientists

The scariest experience I had with science fiction was when they cut Robocop up in the second, film. I ran from the room screaming from fright. Now when I watch it I can't fifure out what was so scary about it.

I have nightmares every once in a while about authors like Jordan, Eddings, Goodkind, etc writting even more 'great' books.

In the dream, one of these authors knocks on my door and says, "Please, I'd like to give you a complimentary copy of every book in my new series that I have coming out next year! I'm sorry, but this series is only 10,000 books long. I'll try harder to make the next series longer." All of a sudden, a dump truck backs up to my door and buries me under tons of books. ;)

I've had nightmares that have had RPG characters in (too much Morrowind & Dungeon Siege), but its a rare thang. Stuff the scientists!

I tend to fall from great hights in nightmares, or its pitch black/red and all I can hear are freaky demon-like grunts. Which is odd, coz I've never suffered from vertigo and I've not played doom for about 4 years.

Maybe I'm just a freak of nature. Wheeeeeee!
