You know, I thought the Assassin books were increadible and her Ship books almost as good. But I didn't enjoy the actual story of this new series very much, even though her writing is as good as usual. Seems rather...cliche.

Still, I look forward to her next book.

I had planned on re-reading Farseer, Liveship and books 1&2 of TM before the last book of TM publishes. I think I'll be fully enmeshed in the Six Duchies and Trader Bay by that point.

It is one of the books of the month in my bookclub this month... along with Feist's 'Talon Of The Silver Hawk'.. and 'Across The Nightingale Floor' by Lian Hearn... whoever that is? :rolleyes:

Ok I finished it! Great book! Not action packed but still great. Don't expect any big climax or cliffhanger. The book has a steady pace all the way through except for one little bump. Probably the best new book I've read this year.
