When replying to a thread I sometimes use the back button to check if I'm not straying off the topic. Then going forward to the reply page again any answer I've started has been deleted.Has this been reported before?

I don't know whether or not anyone else has reported it, but I've noticed that, too. If I have to hit the back button, I first copy all of whatever I have already written in my reply and paste it into a new reply. In most threads, though, a condensed version of the thread is below the reply window, so you can scroll down and see the posts, with the most recent post at the top.

I believe this is normal. Using the back button will cause the reply page to expire next time you go back to it. Reviewing the thread on the reply page is the best option, and the last previous post always appears at the top of the review list. You can also edit your post or even delete it as the case may be. You cannot delete entire threads though. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the replies.
When replying to a thread I've only ever scrolled as far as the SUBMIT REPLY button.I never knew there was so much below!

Yes, this is just the way the browsers work, they don't have any way of temporarily store the text you have typed in before you press Submit and therefore you get the empty form when you move back and forth.

Strange. When I use back and forth my text is still there.
