Also in March, b]The Great Bazaar and Other Stories[/b] by Peter Brett, Pat's Fantasy Hotlist reviewed it a while ago, a short extra offering for fans of The Warded Man. A bit too short for my taste though.

-- A gangster, a sheriff, and a mysterious traveler face an army of mechanical vampires burrowing up from hell itself during a wild Montana storm...
-- In a desert poisoned by atomic radiation, an abused boy stands between a rampaging giant and the hunter who would make him a grisly trophy...
-- Beneath a full Arizona moon, a drifter faces a pack of merciless human animals and the werewolf who butchered his sister...

Also, Night Shade has The Best of Fritz Leiber due in April, as well as The Green Leopard Plague collection by Walter Jon Williams. And there is a Best of Kim Stanley Robinson listed for August as well.
That's it. For now.
Randy M. February 22nd, 2010, 07:52 AM Well, these should contribute greatly to the ruination of my budget. I'm just thinking about it, and my wallet is starting to smolder.
Randy M.
Sapph February 22nd, 2010, 10:57 AM So far I've only had the one Joe Abercrombie is featured in on preorder, but the other ones you've mentioned have some authors I like. I think my (already low) budget is about to get a lot smaller.
Loerwyn February 22nd, 2010, 11:26 AM A few of them seem interesting, might consider picking one or two up.
phil_geo February 22nd, 2010, 09:47 PM I'm guessing that the Haldeman short story "Forever Bound" from Warriors is a continuation of his Forever War series? Anyone know anything about it?
Mithfânion May 23rd, 2010, 03:04 AM Well, I have a couple of these by now and they're pretty good.
Warriors, Beastly Bride and Swords & Dark Magic are on my shelf. Lou Anders' "With Great Power" has been retitled to "Masked" and I'm still very much looking forward to that one.
Sympathy for the Devil as well as the "Stories" anthology by Gaiman due next month are still high on my list.
I could add Steampunk Reloaded, by the Vandermeers, due in October, and "Songs of Love and Death" edited by Martin & Dozois, which also looks cool.
pat5150 May 23rd, 2010, 05:39 AM Swords & Dark Magic has been kind of meh so far, mainly due to the fact that I realize that sword & sorcery was fun when I was a teenager but does nothing for me today. . .:(
So far, only the Glen Cook and K. J. Parker pieces were really good, and that's because they're not really sword & sorcery short stories.
I have high hopes for the Scott Lynch and Joe Abercrombie pieces. . .
Patrick
Jussi May 23rd, 2010, 10:48 AM Swords & Dark Magic has been kind of meh so far, mainly due to the fact that I realize that sword & sorcery was fun when I was a teenager but does nothing for me today. . .:(
I actually started reading sword & sorcery only five years ago (when I was 25). I discovered such great authors as Robert E. Howard, Clark Ashton Smith, C.L. Moore, Henry Kuttner, Fritz Leiber, Michael Moorcock and Karl Edward Wagner.
