Does anyone here know if Tad Williams will come back to fantasy?

After he finished Memory, Sorrow and Thorn, I was very disappointed when I went to Sci-fi. It just wasn't the same, and I couldn't get into his books. But from what I understand, his sci-fi series is done...

...so now will he return to Fantasy? Does he have another ambitious masterpiece underway? http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

yes, called War of the Flowers. After that follows the Chronicle in Stone which is set in the M,S&T world.

Thanks.

Was hoping he would create a new world. But I guess as long as it is set in a different time period, all is good http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Decado:

How much did you actually *read* of Otherland? Though the VR aspect of it fits into to "Science Fiction" the story has an epic fantasy feel to it.

You can also check out his On-Line Epic Fantasy ShadowMarch (http://www.shadowmarch.com)

I really don't remember, it was so long ago. Enough to loose interest. Perhaps I will try again. I am pretty picky http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Odd concept. Do you have to pay at all? Have you read it? Any good? I really should get my printer working again. :p

First chapters are free. It's quite good.

Decado, I would HEARTILY recommend you try Otherland again.

And as allanon says, ShadowMarch is good. First, I think, 8 episodes are free, but for $14.95 you get a years worth of episodes. What I've read so far is good.

I'll chime in with another hearty reccomendation of Otherland. I rank it higher than MS&T.

I just started Otherland last night. I can say that no matter what happens with the story etc., it's sooooo refreshing to read an author as gifted as Williams again. I feel like I've been reading such CRAP lately!
