A plea to the mods. Could you please arrange a sign which indicates that this post is to be taken seriously?

A non nonsense smiley or something? I understand that this is difficult but maybe by meking it more play and fun like even our champions of spamming would understand it?

Cheers:) and I am a funny person really but do I have to prove it any time I want to post at sfffworld.com?Or maybe I've no humour at all so wehat the heck?

I have to apologise straight off here and say that I have no idea what you're requesting, Ntschotschi. :)

The icons that come with the software are those which can be used by all, and of course, you are free to bring in those from other sites provided you are not stealing their bandwidth etc. We do not make them ourselves, I'm sorry.

If your complaint is about spamming, then some would argue that starting a new thread to address issues already being discussed elsewhere, is also spam. So it's a bit of a dilemma, especially as I don't really understand the nature of your complaint. Our site owner has agreed that a certain amount of fun posting (spam if you like) will be allowed here, provided it is contained to the General Discussion area, which to the best of my knowledge it is.

If you have a more specific complaint, then please let us know. Rest assured that the staff here monitor all of the threads and will continue to do so, removing anything which we feel breaches site policy or appears unnnecessarily excessive. A reminder has also now been posted in the Note to Members thread at the General Discussion section. I hope this helps?

Regards, Neil

Well, I think I know exactly what you are thinking of Ntschotschi and after looking into it I think it should be possible to add new custom icons. Any suggestions for what the new icon should look like?

Really great idea by the way :). This way we can say that it's a serious topic even if it's posted in the General forum, and get to keep the great fun at the same time.

I hope you didn't get this wrong:)

I only opened a new thread to get noticed among the spam in the "Can we cut down the spam topic?"

So my suggestion to create a new icon should have been an ironic hint.
I just had the feeling that I coudn't get through with what I wanted to say. So I wanted to make it stronger:)
