Are you a movie lover ? If yes then listen to me. Some movie lover love to watch movie in Theater hall. But few movie lovers love to watch movie at Home in TV or DVD . Which category you belong to ? Tell me the reason.

These days there really isn't a good reason to spend all the money on a night out at the movie theater. It can easily cost $40-$50 for the three of us; the waiting in line, the crappy food, the time spent driving to and from... it's not worth it. We have a large screen with good speakers, movies come out on dvd and cable/satellite within a few months of the big release... it's totally convenient and costs $4.99/rental or $20/DVD, plus, if you buy the dvd there is usually some extra material to watch. And of course we can talk/laugh/scream without annoying anyone.

I think it's been at least two years since we last went to see a movie at the theater.

I rarely go to the theater. With the increase in prices plus the gouging of what they charge for popcorn and drinks, it just isn't worth it, especially when so many of the movies out now are so poorly done.

I wait until it comes along on DVD and rent it, borrow it from a friend or wait until it is on TV and record it. That way, it costs very little so if it is a bad movie, I haven't paid an arm or a leg.

A very few "epic" type movies like Avatar and Lord of the Rings I will go see in the theater, but that is it. I haven't been in a movie theater since Avatar.

I agree with sparrow and ebusinesstutor. It's just way too expensive to go to the theater anymore. Besides, with Netflix and a handy-dandy HDMI cable I can hook up to my T.V. and watch movies instantly, as soon as they are out on DVD. Also, being able to cuddle up to my wife and my dogs makes the experience much more comfortable and appealing.

My preference is always to see a movie in the theater. But with little kids and worrying about baby sitters that has become a rare occurence. However, with my new tv, blue ray and sound system movies have gotten to be pretty sweet at home.

There's an older theater nearby that doesn't get too crowded and serves beer and wine. It's great to go there for the big screen experience. Saw Avatar there, first Iron Man, others. Very cool.

I love going to the theater, personally. Now, I don't do it as much as I used to, but that's more because there have not been that many movies out recently that I have really wanted to see. There's actually a theater not too far from me that charges $2.50 for a ticket during the day and $4.50 in the evening. They also have free popcorn on Tuesdays.

But seeing a good movie for the first time in a theater is just a great experience

At home
2 many cell phones going off and peeps talking during the movie at the theatres nowadays.
a decent home theater system doesn't cost much these days so enjoying a movie night at home is not that impossible :)

I much prefer to watch a movie at home. I'm hearing impaired and wear hearing aids and it's a lot easier to watch a movie at home with closed captioning. Some theaters have CC capability, but there aren't any near me. I only go to the theater for a movie I really want to see like LotR or Iron Man 2.

It's also ridiculously expensive at the theaters these days. Gah!

I much prefer watching a film at the cinemas. Here in the UK a few cinemas run a sort of subscription service where you pay £14 a month and can go to the cinema as many times as you like.
