well rearangeing my books I found a great way to almost double the book compasity on my book shelf, if you stack books horizontaly, apposed to verticly you get tons of more space

Last resort, really. :p

Honestly, it would turn me mad!

Thinking about it . . . I would like to have shelves again! Since moving in my own apartement most of my books are buried in boxes. :(

But I like my books to look neat.I just wouldn't look right if they were horizontal(Yes, I am a certified wierdo).

As I walk to the west wing of my mansion I anticipate the pleasure I'll get as I open the door to my study and gaze around at all my books arranged alphabetically around the walls on their antique mahogany shelves...then the alarm clock wakes me up from my favourite dream :)

I only own fifteen books, but I'm ever in the mood to save some space on my single-shelf bookshelf for, say, a pez collection, I'll keep that in mind. :)

The only problem with a horizontal arrangement is that you get a stiff neck looking at the titles...:(

Storing books.........

Well.......... where I can find space....;)

In fact I can truthfully say there are books, lots of them, in every room in the house (well not the bathroom) :D

We are a family of readers..............

A stiff neck? Wouldn't it be less likely to give you one that way?
