Yes, another Elric question, and YES I have used the search button and the more I read, and went to other recommended links, the more confused I got. I ordered this omnibus thinking that it would have all the books/short stories in the "correct" order to read. The stories are...
Elric of Melnibone
The Fortress of the Pearl
The Sailor on the Seas of Fate
The Dreaming City
While the Gods Laugh
The Singing Citadel
Now, I read that this is the first part of the series, and then it finishes off with Stormbringer. But where is The Weird of The White Wolf, and other titles that i've seen, but seem to be missing. I also know that some of the names of the "novels" were really just multiple short stories, but im not sure which ones. PLZ HELP, and I've used the search function, and ive been researching for a while now...thanks:)

sorry for the double post, but it seems that i found out that The Weird of The White Wolf is made up of FOUR stories. The book i ordered from the above post has 3, but is missing The Dream of Earl Aubec. Does anyone know of this short story in particular. Is it an important part of the story that I am missing?

as I recall, the original 6 elric books (by Daw) ended with Bane of the Black Sword (5) and Stormbringer (6). There is one other not on your list that I cannot recall off the top of my head.

The complication that you have here is (in a complicated tale!) that it depends which books you have bought. The omnibuses were jiggled around depending where they were on sale. There are differences between the US and the UK editions, and sometimes, often, the titles changed!
To quote Wikipedia, as an example::
'Master of Chaos' is a story set in the pre-history of Elric's world and does not feature Elric. In later collections it is retitled The Dream of Earl Aubec, and as such was included in the collection The Weird of the White Wolf. As with 'To Rescue Tanelorn...' it is omitted from the chronological omnibus editions of the Saga (See Earl Aubec and Other Stories (1993)), but both are included in Elric: To Rescue Tanelorn.
Interestingly my edition of the books
In the Series you're looking at, which I think is the UK editions)
http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/488/books9em.jpg (http://www.multiverse.org/wiki/index.php?title=The_Elric_Saga)
Count them along on this photo.
BUT it may be that The Dream of Earl Aubec is in book 13 of the series, Earl Aubec (http://www.multiverse.org/wiki/index.php?title=Earl_Aubec) and my copy says that the tale Earl Aubec is Master of Chaos renamed. And Master of Chaos became The Dream of Earl Aubec.
Did say it was complicated.
Not essential, to be honest. but it is always fun working out where if and when they all interconnect.

In reply to Woof, the omnibus I have isnt the WHOLE series, its just around like, 3/4 of it. I would need to get another omnibus with the last couple stories, I think its Stormbringer and some other story.
And to Hobbit, WOW I am sooo jealous. If i enjoy the omnibus I get in the mail, I think I will try to get a cool hardback collection like you have.

Indeed, very impressive. I love Moorcock, and my coffee stained used copy of Elric compilation pales in comparison.
Also outside of the omnibuses there's seems to be extra, or at least alternate stories with Elric. I have an old copy of Flashing Swords #2, which has an Elric story which is not in the compilation, but is the original version of Sailing to the Past from Sailor on the Seas of Fate. The original title was In the Jade Man's Eye (re-used as a chapter title), Baldhead is replaced by Moonglum and the meeting with Duke Avan in the beginning is quite different.

Thanks all. :) This was being discussed amongst staff recently and it was perhaps appropriate.
These books also are fortunate to have signed bookplates from Mike himself. Example:

Mike sent them to me a few years ago. Class act.

i've been meaning to try these books. i like the fact that they are short aswell, it's a nice change from todays commonly epic sized fantasy books.
