Left hanging for sequels?

Any one left waiting for sequels?

I waited for the longest time for a sequel to Zelazny's Changeling/Madwand books. In vain.

I am assuming a new George RR Martin book will come out sometime.

Laura Resnick wrote a nice book a few years ago but nothing since.

Dave Smeds wrote a couple fantasy books (in the 80's) that left the story hanging.

I think just about everyone who reads fantasy is in wait for some sequel or another. I'm in line for the new Martin, Hobb and Rowling . . . to name a few. I can honestly say, such waiting has given me a renewed appreciation for stand-alone novels.

Well, Zelazny's dead, which you probably know, but it can't hurt to state the obvious just to be sure ;)

Feast for Crows (next Martin book) will be out April next year. Yes, it's taking way too long.

I usually don't start reading a series unless it's completed and I can buy it all at once. It's too hard to wait for the next book to come out.

Who isn't waiting for a sequel? *g* I wish I had the patience to not start a series until its complete, but I don't. I am waiting for:

WoT 10
Feast for Crows
HP 5
Golden Falcon (Deverry, and KK has missed her June deadline :-( )
The Golden Fool
Ships from the West
The next Crown of Stars book
Isle of Battles
the next Runelord book

I'll keep my list small...there are others...

Oh...Deborah Christian wrote a book a while back called The Truthsayer's Apprentice which still has had no sequel. IIRC (and it was a while back) there was a cliffhangerish ending, and then...nothing. *sigh*

I'm still waiting for the next in Stephen King's series "The Dark Tower".
I'm told patience is a virtue.

King, on his Web site (http://www.stephenking.com), stated that the first draft for the next two DT books are done and about 1/2 of the 7th and final book.

Two authors
JV Jones
David Farland (though the publisher is holding it up more than him)

Alle, Isle of Battle comes out next month. It is an excellent continuation of the series (lucky me got an advanced reading copy:))

I'm among the legions of fans waiting for A Feast For Crows.
Not minding it too much at the moment, however, as I've got a huge pile of books to wade through :)

Yeah, I think everyone's waiting for books to come.

I'm waiting for
the Golden Fool
HP5
next Runelords book

I'm probably have some other series I didn't finish, but I guess I'm not waiting for them since I can't remember what they are.

I was wondering about what was going on with the Runelords books. Wizardborn still isn't out in the US with a ppb, which is just so odd.

I thought Isle of Battles had an August release? (US) No matter, I know I am eagerly looking forward to it, and I'll ignore the fact that you got an advanced copy so as not to be jealous. *g*
