So my wife got me a Keurig "K-Cup" coffee maker for my birthday - its the one where you stick in a small pre-measured container into the machine, press the button, and voila! A perfect cup of coffee. I've actually increased my coffee intake since getting this thing (I used to make a pot of coffee - 12 cups - but would end up discarding most of it as it would taste old after 20 minutes or so...Damn you, Tim Horton, for ruining me!).

So, my point is, everyone has gadgets that they love...What are yours? (Excluding things like iPads, eBooks, etc...)

Are PDAs excluded as well?
Personally I think that some people who HAVE to have the latest mobile phone the Ipad just buy them to show off. Howe many of these applications on the Iphone/Ipad're actually of any use and are they really neccesary.
As long as my PDA lets me make and keep notes I'm perfectly fine with it.

My most beloved gadget would be my coffee machine and -grinder. I had a huge coffee intake back home in Sweden but when I got to Australia, I realised that their coffee is as near tasteless as the American one (no offense ;) ). But after getting myself a cheap espresso machine from Cash Converters and a coffee grinder for my birthday, my coffee needs are satisfied again.

There is nothing better than getting up in the morning (or just before noon more likely) with hours to spare before the day's first line in the calendar, grinding some coffee and preparing the machine for the perfect, homemade cappuccino. When I do it myself, I can make it taste as much coffee as I want. Not like the hot brown milk of Starbucks or their ilk.

I have a co-worker who is like that - He was on a trip to Florida shortly after the US release of the iPad, and just had to get one. They've only just been released here in Canada, so he had his a month before everyone else...Funny thing is, when released here, all of the options were available ie) 3G access, increased memory, etc...He wasn't able to get that when he bought his (whether they were sold out or not, I don't know). Other funny thing, one of the service groups here where I work are getting iPads or netbooks for their employees for free for having a good safety record.

Not like the hot brown milk of Starbucks or their ilk. I don't know if you've ever been to Canada and tried Tim Hortons coffee? There is an urban myth circulating that they add nicotine or something else to their ground coffee in order to get people hooked on it. You should see the line-ups to the drive-through wicket! People gotta have their Tim's!

As long as my PDA lets me make and keep notes I'm perfectly fine with it I used to use my Palm Pilot quite frequently, but now I have an iPod Touch - I would be lost without it. I'm sorry I never got an iPhone, but I'm not allowed to bring it offshore to work anyways, so the Touch suits me fine. There are some great apps that I use, and I like that I can 'jot' down notes and stuff like that.

Lol...I think I just hijacked my own thread
