Hello all, I am new to the forum, and I mainly joined to get some help on a problem... so hopefully your combined knowledge will answer a question that has plauged me for years.
Waaaayyyy back around 1984 or so, I read a great book. A man was transported to a planet where racoons were a dominant lifeform. HE had several flashbacks to his own college days and a roomate who had a racoon who would sniff around in his mouth if he let it, he was at one point attacked by dogs, and that is about all I remember. well, that and that I enjoyed the book immensley, and that there was supposed to be a sequel coming out.
Now, flash forward, I lost the book, had no idea who the author was, and have never been able to figure out the author or title, or if there was a sequel.
Whew! :)
So, am I crazy or is there anyone else who might have read this book and know the author and title? Every once in awhile I run into someone who knows the books goes "yeah yeah! That was great! No idea who wrote it or what it was called though." So maybe someone here knows, I would be eternally grateful to have this mystery solved.
Thanks for your time, I look forward to your responses and to sharing in this forum.
Jeff
