Hey, I was turning over an idea in my head to write an account of all the fantasy races, about who they are and how different people see them. If anyone could say what they think a race (pick a race! any one!) should be and how it should act I would be very greatful! Thanks!

I like your idea but what you want is too time-consuming for me, if I want to respond seriously. I'll give you a list of Fantasy races you might consider.

Elves and Dwarves and perhaps even the Ainur from Tolkien's books.

The Others from A song of ice and fire

The Tiste Andii and some other races from Erikson's Malazan book of the Fallen

The Lios Alfar and the Paraiko from Fionavar. Or the Wild hunt ;)

Some of Donaldson's races, he's got several.

I didn't want a detailed page by page account. All i wanted was a quick few sentences on what was most important about ONE race.

I was going to compile brief descriptions into one big chunk and write about the general perception of each race.
