Does anyone remember a program whose story line was about an ark that was adrift in space during the seventies?

There was biospheres on the ark that each had a different culture from earth. The original crew was killed in some type of accident but three people from one biosphere managed to escape from one of the biospheres. They discovered they were on a spaceship. They visited different biospheres to try to discover what happened and to try to fix the ship.

Thanks.

Yes, it was called The Starlost.

Canadian show that went 16 episodes. Harlan Ellison wrote the pilot and provided story outlines that Canadian writers then finished.

Ellison became disenchanted as the show suffered from budget cuts and he felt the producers kept dumbing it down.

I was young at the time, but I remembered watching it avidly at the time.

Seems like an interesting program. Do you know if it can be had on DVDs anywhere? Would love to give it a try because I love TV shows from the seventies.
