Am I Sexist?

I don't like it when women swear.
I don't like to see them drinking beer from cans or bottles.
I don't like it when they yawn without covering their mouth.
I like females to be lady like.

So am I sexist because I don't like them behaving like men?

Nah, I'd say your just specific with your generalities. In my book none of that qualifies you for the Sexist Male Award 2002...

There isn't anything sexist about any of those things. They're just preferences.

Some women like more "manly" men who are hairy and swear and drink beer out of a can, some don't. It's the same type of thing. Nothing wrong with that.

You're not saying that men are better or smarter than women, so you're not being sexist. No need to worry.

In fact, there are probably a lot of women who would be happy that you appreciate their lady-like qualities. Those type of qualities don't seem to be as valued today as they were in the past. :)

Yeah, I'd say you're sexist...

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

:D

Like Miriamele said, you aren't saying that women are inferior, just that you like to see some manners.

You like "ladies", that's all. I can cuss up a blue streak and swig beer with the best of them, but one must know how to behave with the proper decorum at the proper time.

I would hope, though, that you reciprocate by behaving like a gentleman--doff your hat, open the door, stand when the lady stands, etc.? :)
