Thought I'd bring up something that I've been wondering about.
Are you the same person on the message boards as you are in real life?We all know that people are more outspoken when nobody can see them in the flesh. Does the shy, thoughtful type turn into a the forum joker when in front of the P.C?

In RL I'm pretty quiet and I don't think I change much while on the internet. How about you?

Be honest now....

I'm pretty much the same on the internet, I'd say. Perhaps a bit more terse right now because I'm supposed to be working...:D

I think my sense of humour , or lack of it is the same.

And I think here as on any of the forums I post on, I am fairly open about my hobbies(big pointy things the use of) and interests.... history, fantasy, writing,...

I tend to hide a number of things, or leave folks guessing i.e my sex, age, political and religous views.

I most likely make a more open contact by private message or e mail with other members of the forum after judging them by their posts...

I have now and then rendered Moderators gob smacked.....

;)

Oh and as Cadfael said I am a six foot sword welding maniac, not:D

You can try to hide behind the mask Holbrook, but the word 'parent' in your profile tells me all.....

Well, they are both mine I don't deny it.... unless the hospital made a switch, though come to think of it.... that would explain a lot.....:p

LOL!!! You gotta know by now that nobody thakes anything the OLD MONK posts as serious. ;) Besides everybody knows that he is half blind anyway. ;) And in reguards to Holbrook, I have this deep seeded feeling that the Royal Navy was in your past somewhere....

As for me well, The Flatulent part tells the story. I am a Geek in life and that holds true here to. I love a good laugh and I like Spam as a main dish. I need to find more constructive ways to spend my time, as I currently have four http://www.plauder-smilies.de/love/baby2.gif children.
I who have to say that if you were to meet me in the flesh and blood that you would find me to be pertty much the same, although you might want to keep me at a distance. The gas problem you understand,...

I am not sure how to take that or answer it save for the words "you have no proof, what I did for a living in past lives has no bearing on this existence......" :D

Got you there Cad!! :D :p

I'd have to say that I'm pretty much the same in cyber space or in real life. Perhaps that's not quite right - I probably tend to be a bit more extroverted on here but that's mainly Cad's fault, so blame him. :D It could also have to do with the fact, that on here, I can talk about things that are interesting and fun for me - whereas in real life, there are few around me who share my love of fantasy.

I'm a bit different off-line, I think. I tend to goof off a lot more in person . . . to the point where it gets me in trouble (I was almost fired from one of my jobs once for coming in without any pants on. I thought it was funny, as did most of the the staff, but my manager wasn't thrilled. She sent me home and told me not to come back until I had a written apology). But I enjoy being an idiot and don't plan to stop anytime soon.

I suppose I'm about the same online and off, although I'm a very quiet person in real life--not because I'm shy but because I tend not to have much in common with the people I usually come into contact with. Put me with someone who loves books, though (or mountain biking) and I can talk all day.

I've always been quiet. I don't like meaningless small talk at all and it annoys me when I have to do it. I'd rather stay silent unless I have something interesting to say.

I enjoy talking on this forum though, where the discussions are interesting to me. :)
