Just stepped into the bookshop and noticed two interesting looking books. 'Sorcery Rising' by Jude Fisher and 'Illumination' by Terry McGarry. Anyone read these books or knows anything about these writers? They seem worth a try, but looks can, as always, be deceiving...

Fisher's book is more appealing to me. Fisher has a good deal of experience in Fantasy publishing, putting together the LOTR Visual Companion and I think she was previously an Editor.

It's just one review of course - and by a friend as well! - but it looks like a good story. The book itself looks nice too.
I think I'll give it a try soon and let you know how it was...
