Fantasy novel in China & Japan

There are also mang people write Fantasy novels in China, they publish their books in internet, and some of them are really talented, but they're affected by Japanese Fantasy writers deeply.

I wonder if some of you read Japanese Fantasy novels, some of them are very famous in China, like "The Legend of Galaxy Heroes" and "Tale of Loudes(transliteration) Island", but I perfer Western to Japanese style. I think Japanese Fantasy is too...romantic and dreaming, everything seems optimistic and pefect, and...no one dies (of course, important ones).

I only read LOTR series, DL series and DarkElf, but I'm totally shocked by the stories, the images, the belief, the wars, and...the death.

On Chinese Fantasy novels, I love the "Under the Sky of Star-like Land" written by "Lost Today" (transliteration, strange name, en?) and "A Dream of A Other World" written by "Criminal Angel". The two both are Japanese style, but they're interesting, with our Chinese humour.

I expect eagerly that some of you could read Chinese, then you can read above novels in http://dks.yemao.com http://go6.163.com/starseeker

Actually, this idealism shows up in a lot of Western Fantasy, too (naming no names). It's not neccesarily a bad thing; at times I want to read a story where good overcomes evil and everyone lives happily ever after. at other times I want a story with realistic, gritty characters and so on.
