I've been reading this monstrosity for the past few weeks. And I have to say that this is just about the most BORING book I have ever read. (Thus the reason it's taken a few weeks). It seems all anyone is doing is saying who should marry who and having sex. I have around 130 pages left and I'm thinking of quitting it. Cause I can't take much more of this crap. Now, I loved the first two books, I'm still interested in all the characters, but this book sucks!! Now I'm sorry I paid $22.50 for it. :( Does ANYTHING else happen??? Is there a reason I should keep reading???

hehe great post!:D

Umm no doubt most people will say keep reading as the end is so great. Though if you try hard enough I tink you probably will be able to work out what that is or atleast have some idea going on Martins past ::shocks::. Have a guess:)

Boring eh? never heard Martin described that way before:cool: .

Well, WoT is my favorite series. :D Actually I think I'll suffer through ASoS for the rest of the weekend at least I should finish it by then.

Keep reading. When I started reading SoS it bored me also for the first 250 pages or so, but by the end I loved it just as much as the first two books.

I think you did the right thing. Why torture yourself?
If you get that far into a book and it hasn't grabbed you, pack it in. Life's too short.
I just wish I could take my own advice sometimes..

I never quit a book halfway through. I tried to once, and shortly wound up convulsing in a puddle of my own saliva on the floor.

Woah my bad crazyreader. I thought you said you were only 130 pages INTO the book I dindt realize you were almost done. So obviously youre not going to like SoS, lol. But still, if you liked the first 2 you might as well finish it so you'll know the story going into the 4th book right? Although it looks like you'll have plenty of time to get that done. :(
