I just finished A Game of Thrones and am starting Clash of Kings tonight. My question is, does Danys dragons have a significant role in the rest of the series?

*Spoiler Warning*

In the next 2 books they only appear in Dany's chapters.Thats looks sure to change, however.

I wonder if later in the series he will expand them into other chapters as I guess certain chapters merge and so-on and so forth. That was a shock for me. Dragons in the seven kingdoms once agian. CoOl man.

Anyway also I just wanted to say thanx for all the people on this board that praise GRRM and convinced me to purchase this series. It was money well spent and just wanted to say thanx.

Yes, I think Dany's dragons will play a significant role in the rest of the books.Hence the title of the series 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.I have always thought this means Dragons vs Others.

That would be great because their hasn't been a ton of 'fantasy' like dragons and magic in the first one. I doubt that will increase but I agree and hope that they play a big role.

It does change, beleive, me, but it changes slowly and constantly. The first three books show a steady increase/return of magic to the seven kingdoms. At the end of the third book, magic is still rare and mysterious but a lot more common than in Game of thrones.
