If you have one, why don't you quote it here and let us all share in your wisdom.
It may be an outrageous, silly, stupid, clever quote... whatever you like !
And it doesn't even have to come from a real life person. Some SF characters are well known for their quotes.

Some of my favorite quotes are from ancient Roman texts...not that I read ancient Roman texts, but I do have a book or two of (often loosely translated) quotes from them. Anyway, here are my top four:

"Tu praeter omnes une de capillatis" - Of all the hairy cretins, you are the hairiest.

That's the only one I know in Latin , here are the rest sans Latin:

"Death is unavoidable; let's have a drink."

"I am going to scrawl filth about you all over the wineshop wall."

"Now is the time for all bad girls to become worse yet." (I like that one :D )

Not much wisdom there, but they are rather amusing.

I saw one a while back which I liked a lot. Can't remember it exactly but it's something like

Laughter is good for you - it's like jogging on the inside. :D

'for me to poop on'

that's Triumph's quote, I liked it in the beginning but now I think he uses it too much

"If a bus station is a place where the bus stops, what please is a workstation?"

or

"War determine not who is right, war determine who is left." - Chinese proverb

and recently I like this one very much:
"Plock-plock." - dodo (read 'The Eyre Affair' and fell in love with dodos) :p

In Louis XIV's time "Ultima Ratio Regum" was written on the canons. It means: the last argument of kings.

My favorite quotes all come from my father.

On how to play football. "Run like a deer. Hit like a freight train."

On getting the nerve to talk to a pretty girl. "There's nothing stopping you except fear and pure thin air."

On telling him I couldn't learn a difficult guitar solo. "There's no such thing as I can't."

"That which doesn't kill you, shall only serve to make you stronger. "
