I have tried to attach an avatar onto my account details but no options come up.

The list available to me is empty.

Is there any way to get one?

It seems to me, that rune failed to perform the required animal blood sacrifices at the same time as chanting the secret ssfworld chants while shrouded in a cloud of hallucination inducing smoke. That and the blatant failure to offer cheese dip to anyone who can help with this problem…;)

if you have a piccie already selected (must be 65 by 65 pixels), what you have to do is this. Go into the "User CP" page and you will find a tab saying "Edit Options". At the bottom of this page you will find your avatar option.
There are 2 ways to insert an avatar.

[list=1]
1. Browse to the picture on your own computer

2. Type or copy the URL of the picture into the space provided
[/list=1]
This can all be found in the Avatars Topic in General Discussion (http://www.sffworld.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2649&pagenumber=1)

If you don't have a piccie already chosen, try Cadfael's Avatars (http://www.e-cadfael.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Avatars.htm) for a character picture or Erebus's Avatars (http://www.wn.com.au/clubclad/erebus/avatars.htm) for a static or animated creation.

If all else fails, ask a mod to help. :D

UPDATE: Just to let you know that Cad's Avs also has a forum (http://ecadfael.proboards14.com) attached. If you go here, you can request help in searching for a specific av, or we can help modify a picture you'd like to use, but isn't quite the right size or something.
