My name is Cecil. Live in the USA. Married, 2 kids.

I got pulled into the genre after seeing Star Wars. First books I read were the Chronicles of Narnia. We had a competition to see who could read them all. Three out of six of us did.

I came back to sci-fi after a long break. I just like unusual tales. Stories of other worlds. However, reality, to me, is so much stranger than fiction that sometimes, I just need the break. At least in sci-fi/fantasy, people are often expect to be odd, versus reality, where the sane may not be, and the insane often make sense.

I write sci-fi, fantasy and horror. Put it up on the web for free, and I have a book that I'm publishing. Three of my stories are on this website under my name, Cecil Washington.

Hi I´m Henrik from Finland, not the only finn around I see. I´m a 19 year old student.

My first fantasy books where T.Williams: Memory Sorrow and Thorn. After that it was LOTR and I were cought! My favourite after JRRT is Raymond E. Feist he is really challenging even Tolkien.

hi
Well my name is Kyle, im a 22 year old student. I live in Pennsylvania and along with reading i also do alot of skiing and mountain biking.
Years ago i read LoTR, but that did not draw me into the genre. Until just recently (a year about) i primarly read other types, like John Irving and King, but then I tried WoT and since then the majority of my reading has been fantasy.

Pero, 14 1/2, chicago, USA. I first got into sci fi around the fourth grade where i read this book of a man traveling back in the time and then again ahead which all happened by accident cant remember what it was called. Then i didnt read much accept for goosebumps then stopped reading all together around 6 grade up till 8th grade when i read the Hobbit in school didnt like it much but i did like rpg video games and stuff which seemed like fantasy to me...zelda, chrono cross, final fantasy, stuff like that. Then i met this guy and told me to go to his ftp for books and i asked if he had fantasy and he said ya wizards first rule by terry goodkind and then i downloaded it didnt read it but then this summer i bought the book finished it in a week and have been reading ever since

Hi guys, names Dave and i live in the USA. My first fantasy book was The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when i was a wee little kid. I hated it. Later i began to read Fiests Magician Series and became hooked on fantasy books.

Hi. My name is Aaron. I've always been a fantasy reader. My first was the Hobbit. Like a few people here, I wasn't crazy about it. My first fantasy after that was the Belgariad and I have been hooked ever since.

I am rather a late arival to the fantasy genere, just started reading it a year ago, around my 32nd birthday. I started reading fantasy as a way to get away from the real world for a breathing spell. In a way I like to take a break from reality and run around in a world where things are a bit more simple then the complications of today. I like to kick up my heals on the foot rest and jet off to another world that may or may not having anything to do with the real world.
