Since everyone else has introduced themselves I guess I ought to introduce myself. Hang on a minute...maybe I like the idea of being the dark mysterious one in this forum....where no-one knows my gender, my age, where I come from.......Maybe I am the evil dark Flagg from the Stephen King's The Stand book?

Ha Ha (Chortle) I shall perish those pathetic mortal ones.......Belgarion rules.
Ha Ha Ha <drifts away & vanish>

Sorry Belgarion... you can't be the evil Flagg, he is already on this forum, and a truly evil ba**ard he deffinitely is http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Oh, and he is also Stephen Donaldson I have been informed.

Kiss-up that he is, Dennizm is correct, I am known as Flagg in many places, FitzFlagg in this place and some even believe me to be Stephen R. Donaldson. They are correct in the beliefs, sometimes.

Can you dig your man?
M-O-O-N, that spells FLAGG !

Lest the infidels, doubt, I am the Ur-lord and all named above!!!

I really hated "The Stand" the movie. I'm sure the book is alot better, but imo the movie sucked.
Fitzflagg = Stephen R Donaldson?
Is this true or just deceptive banter?

Hi everyone. Wow talk about a popular topic.

I am 30 years old and live in Montreal Quebec Canada.

Hmmm.... how did it all start? I guess the first fantasy-related stuff I read was the Conan the Barbarian books (I wonder if I would like them now?) that was followed by the early Xanth books (and other books by Piers Anthony), Dragon Lance, David Eddings and the first Shanara series. Does anyone remember Thieve's world?

I got my girlfriend into these books also. Which means there will be a big fight when the next GRRM book comes out :-).

Today I am not Stephen R. Donaldson. In places other than this, I may assume that guise, perhaps.

Either way, I do wield the White Gold.

The Stand miniseries was a pretty faithful adaptation of the book. However, the book was MUCH MUCH better as is usually the case. I re-read it every couple of years.

Kiss up... KISS UP!!!!!!

I infer you are an evil ba**ard, and you call this...kissing up, I am appaled http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

IMO, the book The Stand should not be compared to the miniseries, the un-abridged version of the book is awsome...

Hang on... I am kinda agreeing with FF here, maybe I am kissing up http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

I say Kiss-up because I take **pride** in being a magnificent evil bastard.

Reading Wizardborn right now, the Runelords series is getting better with each book.
