Afternoon...
I read a book about 10 years ago and can't for the life of me remember what it was called. The following facts I can remember are:
I think the overiding theme was to do with fire
the main character was a young boy who lived in a poor part of a village/town
the character fell in love with a girl who was either the chief's daughter or some kind of royalty
there was a huge fire that destryoed the village/town they lived in
about halfway through the book shoots forward 10 or so years
the young boy and girl are now together and I think the girl is pregnant
they come across some kind of god that is huge like a a titan of greek mythology
in the very end of the book there is a passage claiming the story is based on some ruins they found in America, supposedly from thousands of years ago (Native Indian)
If anyone has read this and know's the title I'd be very grateful.
Cheers
