Amazaon.co.uk have released it 5 days early! Guess they were getting the jump on amazon.com:D . It's two pounds on the UK site and should be on amazon.com sometime later today(if they get there act together) for US$3. I'm off to read it now:D !

OOh that was good if a bit of a tease!

Oh and Jordan mentions that he plans to finish the series in two more books after "Crossroads of Twilight" knock on wood.

It was a good teaser! Did you notice his caveat about the 2 more books? He added 'knock wood and god willing' to it. *g* It was refreshing to finally glimpse new WoT though, so I was a happy camper.

E-books are not good for my eyes. I'll just have to wait till November.

i want to read the new prologue, but why do they want money for it? i would think that giving the prologue away for free would increase interest in Jordan's new book, but charging for it only interests hardcore fans who are willing to pay for a prologue they will have in 3 months anyway.

I think you answered your own question.

what i meant was that they would probably make more money in the long run by giving it away for free, because it might interest someone in the series, instead of just making a quick buck off the fans who will pay for it.

It's a prologue for book 10. Why would giving that away for free attract new fans? Any non fan who read it would be lost.
