What does she write? Is it adolesent Fantasy or more mature stuff? What sort of story lines do we see?

I used to work in the kids section of a bookstore, and I remember Tamora pierce having a lot of different series of books, so maybe some of them are slightly more mature than others--but I would say that they're all young adult level. Her main characters tend to be young females. For example her "Protector of the Small" series is about a young girl who wants to become a knight (if I remember correctly). She also has a series called "Circle of Magic" which is about a group of teenage girls who are witches of some sort.

She also has a few older fantasy series, which also revolve around female characters.

Her books are well-received, among young people anyway. I'm not sure if they would appeal to adults, I've never read any myself.
