Hi all :)
Anyone ever read the above book by Greg Bear? I got it at a library book sale cheap, but was surprised cause I thought he only wrote SF.
I just am wondering if it's worth diving into this 700-pager since I have others on my pile. Any comments would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Kevin

Sorry, I have never even heard of it. The name sounds a bit cheesy, but interesting at the same time. I think though, your just going to have to dive into that long book because it's very hard with literature to find someone who has what would probably be the same opinion as yourself. It's better to just try it out. That's my advice. ;)

Go for it, don't waste that money on it! :p

If it rubbish, then you won;t make the same mistake!:)

On the other hand, if it is good, what a bargain!

Actually, if you're gonna get it, post a review afterwards. :) I'm usually interested in SF/F authors who write across the genres. For example, Ursula K. Leguin does it really well. (Tries to remember other writers who wrote SF but tried their hand in Fantasy. )

I've started it. So-so thus far. I'll be sure to post a review afterwards.

I read it a few years ago and enjoyed it. Bear managed to pull of a pretty good fantasy with music based magic.
