This is without doubt, the best online forum for SF,F & Horror and part of the reason is the excellent functionality afforded by the user cp and search facilities within the forum application.

Did SFFW develop the application themselves or are they using an existing product?

Also, how are mods and admins selected? When you were selected (honoured) with becoming a mod or admin, how were you trained to manage and administarte the forums?

Thanks Juzzu :). The forum software can be bought from www.vbulletin.com for 160$. The technology that's used for the forum is PHP and mySQL.

...as for how mods/admins for the forums are selected, I think that has been answered before, sort of :D. Or maybe it's just a secret or it might even be that nobody really knows.

Training is definitely minimal, we do of course have our own private forum where we can discuss such things, but all in all the forum software is pretty easy to use.
