new traditional fantasy book--can't think of the title-help?

So I was at work and on my lunchbreak, I was browsing, and somehow followed a link from some forum (maybe this one?) to a newer fantasy book on Amazon.

I can't think of what the title is!

Some of the reviews pointed out that it was a typical fantasy with the familiar tropes, but they were generally positive. And actually, I'm in the mood for that type of thing right now. The main quest deals with finding a certain sword (no, it's not sword of shanarra, it's a very recent novel).

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what that book was--does it sound familiar to anyone here?

Thanks!

I haven't read it, so don't know if it has anything to do with finding a sword or not, but J.V. Jones has a series called Sword of Shadows...

Nope, that's not it, but thanks for the suggestion!

Any one else?

Ok, I found it!

It's called The Sword and the Dragon by M.R. Mathias.

Thanks anyway! :)

Who does hang out around here, from time to time, fuddy!

Well done on working it out though.

Think we could have been here a while otherwise...
