I was jealous of u when I found this website yesterday,u don't know how lucky u r,for most of u could read so many fantasy novels.
I'm a Chinese girl,it's sssssso difficult to find good fantasy novels in China, only LOTR, DRAGONLANCE, DARKELF,ICEWIND and some Japanese novels are published.

The game <IceWind Tale> brought me into the fantasy world,I really plunged into the world of sword,magic,dragon...I trust the fantasy won't vanish as long as we still have dreams and imagination.

Welcome, perfume, er, don't really know you're talking to but welcome anyway. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

I don't know how bad the situation is in China with regards to fantasy books though have you tried going to Hong Kong? There are 1 or 2 good stores there. Singapore is even better with several.

What I like about the bookstores in these 2 countries is that they both sell British-published fantasy stuff, which you can't find in countries that only sell US-published books (like in my country http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif).

Welcome to the board Perfume!

We have had a few other members post how difficult it is to find fantasy books in their countries also. I think that it is good to remind the rest of us how lucky we really are. I know I take it for granted that I can go into a bookstore or a library and find hundreds of fantasy books.. I don't even think about it.

In Canada, every used bookstore has thousands of fantasy novels and thousands of Sf paperbacks. They are everywhere. I will send a thousand to China for you, but they will nab them at your borders and probably burn them...

Ahh, so basically, your book stores are filled with Tolkien-lite drivel?
