Squidoo.com was mentioned earlier and while they used to be the big banana when it came to 'lens' type pages, the new site is hubpages.com, Google loves them. Google adores them. In fact they had one of the biggest writer communities around until internet marketers found the site. The pages are monitored by the community which makes them superior imo. You get a 60% piece of the advertising, including amazon and ebay (both of which you have to apply to be an affiliate and the latter to be very difficult to get into). While you'd need to learn specifics about internet marketing to make a good bit of money from hubpages, someone just writing there could earn a couple of bucks a month, but more importantly, a fan base. It's a good place for poetry, single chapters, etc. That's the way I'd go.
I investigated both services, including reading the fine print of their contracts. To my non-legal-smart mind it sounds as if once you put something on their sites they own it and can do with it what they want.
Anyone else have experience with lens publishing?
