Hi everybody, I remembered a fantasy book that I liked alot when I was a kid but I can't remember the name of it. It involved templar knights(not historically accurate ones) who could use magic because of an amulet they had(I think only fire magic also, but I could be wrong), some kind of painkiller called Pan that the story revolved around to some extent, set in the desert. If I remember correctly, one of the templars rebels against the organization, figures out the real power of this painkiller, etc. I remember a part where a woman shows the templar how to make the painkiller into a poultice. It's all very hazy, but seemingly if anyone's read it before this might ring a bell. Hopefully, someone's heard of it, I've been searching all over the internet for it but I don't have enough on it to know exactly what to search for.
