OK, I once read a book in highschool from the school library during detention and I absoultly can not remember the title, author or anything other the the plot (sort of). Please help me find this book.

I think it is fantasy Horror.

it is about two people that meet after some sort of nuclear war, one of the people is a girl who is stuck in some town in the north, who then meets a man in a radiation safe yellow suit who comes into town pulling a cart with supplies. The man claims he is a scientist but somewhere in the story the author implies that he was a helper for a scientist. This man killed his boss (the scientist) for the suit and took off. At the end, I think the girl and the man fight to stay alive and the girl ends up taking the suit and leaves the man behind. I think the town is safe from radiation, something to do with the location.

Please help.

Sounds a bit like Z for Zachariah. I remember reading that in high school myself.
