its certainly not his best, but it was entertaining in a way only a Clive Barker novel can be. It was also more of a typical horror novel than his last few.

CC was great, it was indeed a little more 'typical-horror' style than Clive usually treats us to, but it sucked me in just like all his stuff does. :)
I just finished Sacrement, I was scared at the beginning because there didn't seem to be any horror type element involved. Just a gay photographer taking pictures of dump-diving polar bears. I almost dropped it, but eventually this photographer flashes back to his childhood and meeting a wonderful pair of Barker-esqe villian type creatures and the story expanded to metaphysical proportions, I was very pleased. :) So if you do pick up Sacrement, give it a chance, you'll thank yourself.

I see that you have read Sacrement. I have it sitting here, but I am having a hard time to pick it up to read! I find that it does not grasp the concept of Barkers' writing to that of his other books....such as Weaveworld or Imajica. Don't you find it to be more on the reality side than horror or fantasy?

Don't get me wrong....I do love his creations! I just don't believe that his book Sacrement lives up to his standards of writing! Please...tell me if I am wrong?

Have we stopped talking about Clive Barker so soon?
What can you tell me about his book "Galilee"?
I picked it up a while ago, but haven't had a chance to read it yet!
Any takers??

Galilee is pretty different from most Clive Barker books. I really enjoyed it though. It focuses on the history of two families, and the romance between two people. It took me a little while to get into, but it is a very interesting book.

I appreciate the input!
I really wish he would write some more on Imajica. Loved the book.....the journey and the people were amazing!
I got hooked on him when I read Weaveworld!
